OUR HISTORY

99 Motorsport was created by former Supercar Driver, Marcus LaDelle.

After seeing the growth of feeder one-make series in Australia, and looking to make a comeback of sorts himself, Marcus put together the infrastructure to run Production Cars.

As of October 2021, still in lockdown and with very little information about the future of normality, let alone motorsport, the whirlwind began with the announcement by Supercars of a return for 5 rounds in 6 weeks and at the end of the year, culminating in races at Bathurst.

TGR86 was included on this calendar and with some great advice, a car was sourced and Marcus committed to the end of the year.

New Car, New Team, New Category…

Marcus purchased and prepared his own Toyota86 in the aftermath of Covid in late 2021 before sending the car to a friend in 2022 after their car was unrepairable.

2022 also saw us end our alignment with the RX8 Cup Series.

2023 opens an exciting new chapter in our history.

This will see us move to TGRA86 full time - with multiple cars and our 3-car Transporter.

The late racing seasons start in 2023 has also enabled us to grow into new premises on the Central Coast, with more room and featuring the multi car high end Transporter, which takes pride of place in the workshop.

Toward the end of the year, we are also very excited to welcome a Porsche GT3 car into the family.

Stay tuned for further growth into this worldwide category.
